Wax types how do I choose?

Wax Types:

Traditional Wax: Paraffin provides the strongest room filling scent.

Soy Wax: A natural wax that provides a clean burn and a gentle scent in the room.

Coconut Oil Wax: A natural wax that provides both a clean burn and a strong fragrance in the room.

How strong will the scent be in my candle?

Scent strength is based on two factor: type of wax used and % of scent to wax allowable for the wax to perform properly. This is called "fragrance load".

Traditional Wax has an allowable fragrance load of approximately 2%-12%

Soy Wax: has an allowable fragrance load of approximately 2%-8%

Coconut Oil Wax: has an allowable fragrance load of approximately 2%-10%

Geeda’s Hand Poured Candles uses the highest % of Fragrance load allowable by wax type. You choose the wax and we provide the strongest scent possible. Try all three for comparison!

Wick Types:

We use paper wicks for Pillars and for natural waxes. We used Cotton wicks for traditional wax container candles because it is a slightly cooler burning wick for this soft wax. We do not use any metal in our wicks.

Fragrances:

All our fragrances are phthalates free and while 90% are also skin safe, we do not do any testing on skin.
